Elon Musk‘s ex-girlfriend Grimes, who is also mother of his three children, often shares about parenting and other live stuff on the social media platform Twitter. The Canadian singer-songwriter (real name Claire Boucher) Grimes shares three children with Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk: X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Tau Techno Mechanicus. Grimes often talks about fun as well as the tough part of being a parent. In a recent thread on Twitter, Grimes shared what she called “the actual hardest part of parenting by far.”
Grimes wrote,“Why is putting kids to bed arguably one of the hardest things to accomplish. I remember being a horror about going to bed too What is the evolutionary reason for this Am I missing something? Like the story can’t be too good or they get turnt and wake up – meaning it has to be an exercise in bad art. I deeply resent having to spend so much time with bad art in order to bore children to sleep – something seems morally wrong here – and like conceptually wrong. Is there a way to not wake them up with cool ideas or art and still get them to sleep? Is this common issue? I know I tortured my parents with this same thing – like demanding more and more stories and taking like an hour or more to sleep and getting up if they tried to leave the room before I was asleep.”
She followed up in another tweet,“To me this is the actual hardest part of parenting by far. By such a huge huge degree. My brain is not designed for this Hacks wud be appreciated. It seems like it’s getting worse not better – as they get smarter they find more ways of thwarting.”
Incidentally, Grimes and Elon Musk have often clashed openly over their approaches to parenting. The ex-couple was once embroiled in a custody dispute over their kids, which they reportedly resolved in a Texas court in August 2024, as noted by Business Insider.
Grimes denial on writing about Fortune 500 CEOs
Recently, Grimes denied writing a post about the “sexuality and kinks” of Fortune 500 CEOs. “I was going to clarify that yet again this scandal is untrue but I just remembered I decentralized grimes and relinquished control over my image so I guess if I can’t stop it – grimes is successfully self replicating and I cannot control the other ones. Exciting.”
“I unfortunately do not control the internet and cannot wipe this from the internet,” Grimes wrote. “I have tried begging the public and my kids’ dad to keep them offline, and I’ve tried legal recourse,” she added in another post.
