DSP dies after being hit by speeding bus in Telangana's Rangareddy

RANGAREDDY: A deputy superintendent of police (DSP) died after being struck by a speeding bus in the Hayathnagar vicinity of Rangareddy district during the early hours of Saturday.
According to authorities, the incident transpired at around 4.40am near Hanuman Temple in Laxma Reddy Pallem, Rangareddy, while the officer was on his morning constitutional.
The vehicle, operated by the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (AP-SRTC) Nuizveedu Depot, was en route from Abdullapurmet to Hayathnagar when it purportedly collided with the officer owing to impetuous and careless driving.
The DSP, TN Nandeshwara Babji, suffered grievous injuries and succumbed at the scene.
Officials have lodged a formal complaint and initiated an enquiry into the occurrence.
The Hayathnagar Police Station has assumed responsibility for the investigation to ascertain additional particulars and potential legal proceedings against the driver.
