Patna: The chill of winter has descended, bringing a noticeable change in the weather pattern across Bihar. Residents are now experiencing a distinct nip in the air during the morning and late-night hours, signalling the seasonal shift.This atmospheric change is reflected in the official meteorological data, which records a decline in minimum temperatures across various districts. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) data, the lowest minimum temperature for the region was recorded in Aurangabad at 13 degrees Celsius on Monday, followed by a further drop to 12.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.IMD Patna director Ashish Kumar confirmed that the current temperature is below normal for Nov. He said minimum temperatures are generally likely to range between 14 to 16 degrees Celsius across most parts of the state. However, the southwest districts are likely to record temperatures ranging between 10 to 12 degrees Celsius during the second week of the month.The forecast for maximum daytime temperature is likely to range from 26-28 degrees Celsius across the state. Exceptions are noted in the eastern districts—Kishanganj, Supaul, Madhepura, Araria, Saharsa, Purnia, and Katihar—where the temperature might range slightly higher, between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius.For the next two days, the minimum temperature is projected to range from 16-18 degrees Celsius in all districts, excluding Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Arwal, and Bhabua, which are expected to see lows between 14 and 16 degrees Celsius. After this two-day transition, the minimum temperature across the entire state is expected to stabilise between 14 to 16 degrees Celsius.
