DMK govt not concerned about people’s welfare: AIADMK leader Thangamani | Coimbatore News

ERODE: The DMK govt is not concerned about the welfare of the people, and the party leaders are under the impression that they will secure votes by just giving women an assistance of Rs 1,000, AIADMK leader and former minister P Thangamani said on Monday. He said the proliferation of ganja and cocaine was rampant in the state. “The authorities are indifferent to this issue,” he said while speaking in Erode after distributing welfare assistance to 100 people as part of the 71st birthday of AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami. The event was organized by the AIADMK Erode City District MGR Forum. He said the situation had become so dire that it was unsafe to send girls to school as more than 250 teachers were accused of sexually harassing students. “Parents are hesitant to send their children to school, as this govt has failed to ensure their safety and well-being,” he said.He said, “Every village is waiting for a govt led by Edappadi Palaniswami to return to power.” Thangamani said, “The AIADMK is a movement dedicated to providing welfare assistance. If such a movement regains power, it will continue to offer welfare support to people.”
