The Delhi government has revised the admission schedule for its newly launched CM Shri Schools, pushing the entrance test and related dates by nearly two weeks.According to the Directorate of Education (DoE), admit cards will now be issued on September 10, while the admission test for Classes 6, 7 and 8 will be conducted on September 13. Earlier, the test was set for September 6, with admit cards scheduled for release on August 23. The final list of selected students will be published on September 20, and admissions will be completed by mid-September.

Exam pattern

The entrance exam will be conducted in a bilingual OMR format, covering Hindi, English, General Awareness, Mental Ability and Numerical Aptitude. The test duration will be 150 minutes, with extra time allowed for children with special needs.

About CM Shri Schools

Launched in the 2025–26 Delhi state budget with an allocation of ₹100 crore, CM Shri Schools are model institutions designed on the lines of the Centre’s PM Shri Schools and aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

  • Reservation: Half of the seats for students from government and government-aided schools; 5% relaxation in eligibility criteria for SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer) and children with special needs.
  • Infrastructure: AI-powered libraries, smart classrooms with AR/VR tools, robotics labs, and biometric attendance systems.
  • Sustainability: Campuses to run on solar energy and adopt zero-waste practices.
  • Curriculum: Based on NEP 2020 and National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023, focusing on experiential and inquiry-based learning.
  • Affiliation: With the Delhi Board of School Education being phased out, CM Shri Schools will be affiliated to CBSE.
