NEW DELHI: Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government on Thursday announced the updated portfolios for its cabinet ministers, a day after expanding state’s council of ministers by including seven BJP MLAs.
The cabinet reshuffle comes just months ahead of the state assembly elections.
The newly sworn-in ministers are Sanjay Saraogi, Sunil Kumar, Jibesh Mishra, Krishna Kumar Mantoo, Motilal Prasad, Vijay Kumar Mandal, and Raju Kumar Singh. The expansion is seen as a strategic move by Nitish Kumar, who maintains a close alliance with the BJP.
