In Tavaragera town, Koppal district, a 35-year-old man, Channappa Hussainappa Narinal, was brutally murdered in broad daylight. He was attacked with a machete by a group of individuals, leading to the registration of a case against ten suspects.

KOPPAL: District police arrested seven people on Monday in connection with the murder of a youth in Koppal district on Saturday night.The man was brutally hacked to death in broad daylight in Tavaragera town of Kushtagi taluk, police said.Koppal superintendent of police LR Arasiddi told TOI that two individuals were arrested on Sunday and remanded to judicial custody. The victim, identified as Channappa Husenappa Harijan, was attacked with a machete by a group of miscreants inside a bakery.“Five people were arrested on Monday, and we are interrogating them. The accused admitted that a family dispute prevailing after the 2022 Town Panchayat elections is the reason for their act. The investigation is continuing,” he added.
