Assam DEE Teacher recruitment 2025: The Assam Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE) has initiated the recruitment process for 4,500 teaching positions in lower primary and upper primary schools across the state. Interested candidates can apply through the official website dee.assam.gov.in, with the application window closing on March 31.
Out of the total vacancies, 2,900 positions are available for Assistant Teachers in lower primary schools, while 1,600 positions are designated for Assistant Teachers, Science Teachers, and Hindi Teachers in upper primary schools. The DEE will publish separate merit lists for each district and category.
To be eligible, applicants must have passed either the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), depending on whether they are applying for lower or upper primary schools. Additionally, one of the languages (Language 1 or Language 2) in their CTET or ATET qualification must match the medium of instruction of the school they are applying to.
Candidates must be between 18 and 40 years old as of January 1, with age relaxation available for reserved categories. Furthermore, individuals with more than two living children born on or after January 1, 2021, are ineligible for this recruitment.
Selection will be based on merit, considering academic qualifications such as Higher Secondary (or equivalent), graduation, Diploma in Education, and performance in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).
