Ranchi: Politicians cutting across party lines condoled the death of Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, who lost his life in a plane crash in Baramati on Wednesday. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, CM Hemant Soren, state cabinet ministers took to social media platforms to express their condolences to the Pawar family.“The news of the sudden demise of Maharashtra’s deputy CM Ajit Pawar ji in the plane crash in Baramati, Maharashtra, is extremely heartbreaking. My deepest condolences to all the families who have lost their loved ones in this tragedy. May God grant strength to the bereaved family members to bear this sorrow,” Gangwar wrote on X.Hemant said Pawar’s death was an irreparable loss to the politics of Maharashtra. “May Marang Buru grant peace to the souls, and bestow strength upon the grieving family members, party workers, and well-wishers to endure this difficult hour of sorrow,” he said.Gandey MLA Kalpana Soren called the crash heart wrenching. “The news of the sudden demise of Ajit Pawar ji, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, along with others, in the plane crash that occurred in Baramati, Maharashtra, is extremely heart-wrenching. The untimely departure is an irreparable loss to Indian politics. Om Shanti,” she said.State agriculture minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey said that the early morning news was deeply distressing. “May God grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the family members to bear this sorrow,” she wrote.BJP’s leader of opposition Babulal Marandi too called the incident as loss to Indian politics. On X, he tweeted, “Ajit ji’s contributions in the fields of politics and public service will always remain memorable. His passing is an irreparable loss to the political world. The demise of the other four people who lost their lives with him in this tragic plane accident is also extremely heartbreaking.”
