A day after Nagpur clashes, Eknath Shinde unveils Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s statue in Dombivli, calls Aurangzeb’s admirers ‘traitors’ | Thane News
KALYAN: Aurangzeb came to take a piece of land in Maharashtra, but Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was a divine power. Aurangzeb showed cruelty towards Sambhaji Maharaj. Some people sing the praises of Aurangzeb. Those who sing these praises are traitors, said the deputy chief minister of the state, Eknath Shinde.
Deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde was speaking at the unveiling ceremony of the equestrian statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, built in Dombivli East. Shinde said, “Everyone should adopt at least one quality of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This would be a true tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.”
Thousands of people from Dombivli attended this ceremony. Conceptualised by Kalyan Lok Sabha MP Dr Shrikant Shinde, this grand statue was built by Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation at the entrance of Dombivli.
During this, Shinde said that earlier this square was known as Gharda Circle, but now this circle will be known by the name of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Speaking on this occasion, Eknath Shinde glorified the work of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The pride of a united India is Shiv Chhatrapati, the roar of Hindutva is Shiv Chhatrapati.
Shinde praised the greatness of Maharaj in the words, “The invention of democracy is Shiv Chhatrapati, Shiv Chhatrapati means valour, Shiv Chhatrapati means courage, Shiv Chhatrapati means bravery, Shiv Chhatrapati means sacrifice, Shiv Chhatrapati means dedication, Shiv Chhatrapati means vision, Shiv Chhatrapati means policy, Shiv Chhatrapati means a man of the era, Shiv Chhatrapati means a promoter, Shiv Chhatrapati means a king of the rajyas.”
The design of this statue is different. Saying that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is fully visible in this statue while giving darshan to the people in the city, he congratulated MP Dr Shrikant Shinde and his team.
This statue will continue to remind future generations of history. The young generation will continue to give energy to children. Dombivli Shiv devotees will get inspiration from this statue, Shinde also said on this occasion.

On this occasion, MP Dr Shrikant Shinde presented a poem on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and sang the greatness of his valour.
On this occasion, Hindu Rashtra Sena Chief Dhananjaybhai Desai, Sangrambapu Bhandare Maharaj, MLA Rajesh More, KDMC Commissioner Indurani Jakhar, along with thousands of Dombivli residents, Shiv devotees, Shiv Sena office bearers, and activists were present in large numbers.
