2 govt vehicles stolen at Caranzalem

Panaji: Unidentified persons have allegedly stolen two four-wheelers belonging to the directorate of panchayats parked at Caranzalem.Director of panchayats Mahadev J Araundekar, in a complaint to Panaji police, said that during the clean-up drive organised by the late chief minister Manohar Parrikar and the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP), the two vehicles were picked up from Junta House and were parked at the Kamrabhat area near International Hotel, Caranzalem, along with other old and abandoned govt vehicles.Araundekar said the vehicles were parked at Caranzalem for a long time. “On Sep 2, 2025, we found that the vehicles were no longer at the location. Despite searching the area and enquiring locally, we could not trace them,” he said.Panaji police have registered an FIR against unidentified persons, and the investigation is under way.
