Salman Khan has been bringing some of Bollywood’s biggest box office blockbusters for Eid releases for over a decade. From 2009’s ‘Wanted’ to 2019’s ‘Bharat’, the superstar has given audiences amazing performances to enjoy throughout the holiday. Eid 2022 was a special exception. Salman Khan’s film wasn’t released during Eid in the year 2022 for the first time in over a decade. However, Salman thought to promote ‘Runway 34’ in order to help his industry colleague and dear friend Ajay Devgn.

Salman Khan’s Unique Eid Gesture

On Eid 2022, Salman sent his fans a kind message on Instagram. He stated that because he didn’t have a movie ready for release, he asked Ajay Devgn if he could step in and give a treat to his fans on this Eid!
“I don’t have any film ready toh maine apne bhai @ajaydevgn se request ki hai if he can come on Eid, Eidi dene ke liye. Chalo iss Eid hum sab celebrate karenge aur dekhenge #Runway34 (I didn’t have any film release on Eid this year, so I have requested my brother Ajay Devgn to come on Eid with the Eidi (gift). We all will celebrate Eid and watch Ranway 34),” he wrote on Instagram.
Both his fans and the film industry loved Salman’s decision to promote another actor’s movie rather than his own.

‘Runway 34’ was headlined by Ajay Devgn and had Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. The movie came out on April 29, 2022.

Fast forward to Eid 2025. This year, the “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ star is ready to brighten up the festivity with his latest release ‘Sikandar.’ Starring him and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead, the movie is slated to release on March 30, 2025. It is one of the highly anticipated movies of the year, and the pre-sales numbers show that the movie will have an explosive debut at the box office.
