Vijay Deverakonda hails Anirudh Ravichander’s role in 'Kingdom'; Says 'His every word carries so much weight'

Vijay Deverakonda, who is gearing up for the release of his next spy action drama ‘Kingdom’, recently visited Chennai as part of the film’s ongoing promotions. Speaking at a press meet, the actor was all praise for music composer Anirudh Ravichander, who composed the soundtrack and score for the upcoming actioner directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri.

Praise for Anirudh’s contribution

As per a Pinkvilla report, the actor, expressing his admiration for Anirudh, quipped once again about wanting to “kidnap” him. “The Telugu state and Tamil Nadu’s favourite Anirudh… he has poured life into Kingdom. Yesterday he was in Hyderabad for the pre-release event, today he’s here checking the audio mixes of the final copy before it heads to theaters both domestically and internationally,” Vijay said.He continued, “Last time I was in Chennai, I said how I wanted to kidnap him and take him away, even though I hadn’t met him at that time. But in the last couple of months, I’ve spent so much time with him that now I wanna kidnap him even more. I wanna keep him to myself. Ani, I love you.”

Weight of his words

Calling Anirudh a powerful influence in the South film industry, Vijay added that the composer’s endorsement of ‘Kingdom’ had more impact than his own promotional efforts. “Every word he says carries so much weight. He recently said ‘Kingdom’ will be a milestone in everyone’s career. As soon as he said it, people, even my friends, were like, Anirudh gave the stamp, it’s a sureshot success.”
