‘Valathu Vasathe Kallan’ has now completed its fourth day at the box office, and the movie collected Rs 48 lakhs on day 4. This is a drop compared to the weekend but it is quite normal for a Monday.The film had already collected around Rs 3.31 crore in its first three days as reported by the Sacnilk website. The movie is moving in a small but steady way.
Box office numbers slowly growing
Day 1 collected Rs 1.05 crore. Day 2 went up a bit to Rs 1.1 crore and day 3 climbed again to Rs 1.15 crore. Day 4 then dropped to Rs 48 lakhs which is a fall of around 58%, but Monday falls are very common for many films. The total now stands at Rs 3.78 crore India net.The worldwide collection for the first four days is Rs 4.45 crore, and the India gross is also Rs 4.45 crore.
Occupancy numbers
On February 02 the film had an overall Malayalam occupancy of 10.49%. Morning shows had 6.24%, afternoon shows had 8.42%, evening shows had 10.35% and night shows had 16.95%. The night shows clearly did better than the rest of the day.Even though the occupancy looks small, for a film of this genre, it is still a healthy number because thrillers usually depend on word of mouth and also Jeethu Joseph‘s previous film which was ‘Mirage’, turned out to be disappointing.

It says, “The first half is excellent, luring us in with a good story, emotions and unexpected twists, and at the halfway point you have absolutely no clue of how the story might proceed.
