US Mayors groove to Salman Khan’s ‘Chunari Chunari’ at North Carolina Diwali Celebration – Watch | Hindi Movie News
There are few things that exemplify the spirit of togetherness as well as people coming together through music and dance. This could not have been more evident than the Diwali celebration in North Carolina, where Mayor Harold Weinbrecht of Cary, and Mayor TJ Cawley of Morrisville danced on stage to the cheers of the crowd, even dancing to Salman Khan’s popular track ‘Chunari Chunari’.
A celebration of togetherness
The cosy moment was shared with hundreds of followers on Instagram, the organisers wrote, “This year’s Hum Sub Diwali event was truly a celebration of community and cultural pride! The best part of the event happened when Mayor Harold Weinbrecht (Cary), Mayor TJ Cawley (Morrisville), as well as other council members joined hands with the talented performers from the Taal Harmony Dance Group and danced to the music of India! Their energetic participation created a moment that represented much more than a dance, it showed how our local leaders are embracing and celebrating the rich diversity that makes our Triangle area so special.“The post went on to say, “Through this partnership, they were able to highlight the beauty of Indian traditions, rhythm, and community spirit right here in North Carolina. Moments like these remind us that Diwali’s real light shines brightest when we embrace each other as one community, regardless of our borders or backgrounds.”
Leaders join the celebration
Later on, Morrisville Mayor TJ Cawley shared a similar set of pictures from the same Diwali celebration, and said he loved being a part of the celebration. “I always love Hum Sub Diwali, and I had a blast dancing alongside the staff and my fellow elected officials from Cary and @townofmorrisvillenc! ” Cawley said about the warmth and inclusiveness of the night.
