The caption intriguingly states, “A decade ago, we unleashed a madness — an experiment too strange, unspeakable even for those who dare to fathom the abyss. The curse is finally broken. Enjoy your gold hunt.”Film’s plot as described by lead actorIn a previous conversation with MensXP, Jaaved described the story of the film, saying, “It’s about a film producer who was like a Karan Johar of his time and he launched people and he launched a girl and fell in love and married her. In short, the girl and a hero that he also launched, they supposedly fell in love too and they ran away and took a lot of his money.”The intriguing story setupJaafferi further said that after 20 years, the only thing he owns is a dilapidated theatre, falling apart with cobwebs and dust everywhere, and nobody visits it anymore. He suffers from a paranoia about mosquitoes, which has a specific reason. Because of this, he wears a mask, carries a huge smoke machine, and moves around with it. He has a 14-year-old son who is slightly disturbed due to living in this environment. One day, the son brings two strangers inside, and the story revolves around the dynamics among these four individuals. There is an element involving something these new arrivals know and discover, leading to a cat-and-mouse game within this space. He considers this script one of the best he has done.Director’s ongoing projectsApart from this, Rahi Anil Barve is currently engaged in developing the next two parts of the ‘Tumbbad’ trilogy, titled ‘Pahadpangira’ and ‘Pakshitirtha’. Alongside these films, he is contributing creatively to Raj & DK’s upcoming series, ‘Gulkanda Tales’ and ‘Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom’.
