Tamannaah Bhatia on embracing individuality: Looking different is my strength |

Tamannaah Bhatia has become one of the most sought-after actors, mining her presence in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema, as well as on OTT platforms. Recently she spoke about her approach to self-expression through fashion.
During an interview with Indian Express, she shared the importance of embracing individuality rather than conforming to fleeting trends. She mentioned that in today’s time, with social media, everyone is conscious about how they are presenting themselves. Where social media often dictates beauty standards, Tamannaah advocates for body positivity by celebrating what makes her unique.
She said, “If you truly want to make an impact, you need to lean into what sets you apart. You can either be defined by others’ standards of beauty and style, or you can embrace your individuality. For me, accepting the best version of myself—however that looks—is key. I know I look different from others, and I’ve come to see that as my strength.”
When it comes to fitness and skincare, Tamannaah adopts an intuitive approach. She prioritizes well-being over strict routines, focusing on rest when needed and engaging in activities that nourish her mind and body.
The ‘Stree 2’ said, “Every day is different, and the only constant is staying aware of myself. While I do love routine, I check in with myself daily—what do I really need today? If I haven’t slept well, I skip the gym and prioritize rest. My lifestyle is guided by well-being, and that reflects in everything—from my workouts to my diet.”
Her self-care practices include meditation, spending time in her temple room, and disconnecting from technology to recharge. She just cuts off light and tech sources and just vegetates and also mentioned, “I think taking time to acknowledge what you’ve achieved brings a sense of fulfillment. It’s easy to fall into a rut of constantly doing without absorbing anything. I consciously create space to reflect and reset.”
On the acting front, Tamannaah is set to appear in several upcoming projects, including the Telugu supernatural thriller ‘Odela 2.’
