According to the Hindustan Times report, SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Varanasi’ is the “hottest property” from India in the worldwide streaming market. Rajamouli’s previous film, ‘RRR’, winning the Oscars, made people anticipate the filmmaker’s next outing. As per the report, the director’s ‘Baahubali 2‘ also earned big in the global market.
The report stated, “Naturally, his next project has sparked a bidding war for digital rights, with trade sources stating that streaming platforms are considering Hollywood-level payouts. The final figure could go as high as Rs 1000 crore.”Well, if this deal gets finalized, it will make history while setting a benchmark for pre-release digital income for an Indian movie.

Before the title reveal video, the makers dropped the character posters of the film.Meanwhile, the title reveal event ‘Globetrotter’ was hosted at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Reportedly, over 50000 fans were in attendance at the event. During the same, the filmmaker also revealed that the film will be shot in IMAX format. Also, with the film, Priyanka Chopra will be making a comeback in Indian commercial cinema.The film has been set to hit theaters in January 2027. The official release date is yet to be announced.
