Sitaare Zameen Par’ is now nearing the completion of one week at the box office. It released last friday, on June 20. The film had a decent opening and saw growth on its first weekend but furthermore, the fact that it remained steady also over the weekdays is quite commendable. Though, the film did see a dip on Wednesday as compared to Tuesday numbers but managed to cross Rs 80 crore.Sitaare Zameen Par Movie ReviewThe film starring Aamir Khan, Genelia Deshmukh along with 10 disabled kids who are the real stars, made Rs 10.7 crore on opening day. It saw growth on Saturday and Sunday, making Rs 20.2 crore and 27.25 crore respectively. It made Rs 8.5 crore on Monday and the same number on Tuesday as well. On day 6, Wednesday, there was a slight drop and it minted Rs 7.25 crore. Thursday also it seems like the film may make similar to Wednesday numbers or slighty less than that. Till Thursday afternoon, the movie had made Rs 1.2 crore. The total collection of ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ now stands at Rs 83.6 crore.It should be able to cross Rs 90 crore by the end of week 1, and shall touch Rs 100 crore over the weekend. On Friday, June 27, Kajol starrer ‘Maa’ which is a mythological horror film, is releasing. Considering the acceptance for horror movies lately, the film may get a good reception, specially if the word of mouth is good.
