‘Sikandar’ box office collection day 9: The Salman Khan starrer sees a huge decline on second Monday after crossing Rs 100 crore | Hindi Movie News

Salman Khan starrer ‘Sikandar‘ released in cinemas on March 30. The film turned out to be Salman’s lowest opening day number after ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ which was also an Eid release. While this one opened at Rs 26 crore, it saw some growth on Eid and the day after that due to the holiday. It got some benefit out of that, but since then, it has gradually begun to drop and how. The film has left everyone shocked now due to its disappointing numbers which are not expected from a Salman Khan starrer.
While a movie like this should have crossed Rs 100 crore within the first three days, the film crossed that mark on its day 8 which is Sunday. ‘Sikandar’ made Rs 4 crore and Rs 4.84 crore respectively on Saturday and Sunday respectively, according to business tracker Sacnilk. Meanwhile, it has now seen a major decline in the collection on day 9, which is second Monday. It has made Rs 1.75 crore. Thus, the total collection so far is in 9 days is Rs
104.25
crore.
If we see the trend of the movie on the days after Eid, it’s similar to ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, according to Box Office India. However, the budget of ‘Sikandar’ was much higher hence, this number is considered low. Thus, the film has certainly not managed to live expectations and with this kind of number, it is less likely that the film will even make a lifetime number of Rs 150 crore at the box office.
After Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’ made Rs 500 crore at the box office, it was expected that a big Salman film on Eid would also make that number but that seems a far cry at the moment.
