Siddhant Chaturvedi recently addressed the rumors of him being cast in the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit film ‘Dear Comrade’, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna. As per the reports, Pratibha Ranta of ‘Laapataa Ladies’ fame was being considered as the female for the Hindi movie. Now, the ‘Gully Boy’ actor has clarified the speculations.

Siddhant Chaturvedi took to his Instagram Stories and rubbished the rumors around his involvement in the remake. He wrote, “Just to clarify, guys, this isn’t true.” He further added, “No remakes for me anymore, even though I’m a fan of the original film and the actors. Much love and respect. Thank you.”
However, the actor did share that his collaboration with Pratibha Ranta would be good. He added, “Anyhow, I’d love to collaborate with the supremely talented @pratibha_ranta on something original. Looking forward.”

Meanwhile, earlier, Pratibha Ranta had taken to her Instagram story to clear her stance around the reports. The actress didn’t confirm or deny the involvement, writing, “With due respect, I kindly request all media pages to please refrain from posting or circulating any unverified information and wait for an official announcement.”She added, “This has been happening with me for quite some time now, with several projects that I am not associated with, which often leads to unnecessary confusion.”

Directed by Bharat Kamma, the film starred Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna in 2019. The movie also featured Shruti Ramachandran, Raj Arjun, Suhas as Martin, and Kaali Venkat. It was released on July 26, 2019.

On the work front, Siddhant Chaturvedi is currently working on his next project titled ‘Do Deewane Seher Mein’, co-starring Mrunal Thakur. The movie is set to hit theaters in Valentine’s week in February this year.
