Actress Shilpa Shirodkar, who took a long break from the entertainment industry to focus on her family life in London, made a much-anticipated return to television in 2013 with ‘Ek Mutthi Aasmaan‘ after relocating to Mumbai. Recently, in an interview, she addressed ongoing speculation about tensions with her sister, Namrata Shirodkar, and brother-in-law, Mahesh Babu.
Rumours of a fallout between the siblings and Mahesh Babu have been circulating on social media, but Shilpa dismissed them outright. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Shilpa shared that she felt it was very silly to even discuss the matter. “Because mujhe nahi lagta ki koi bhi rishta ek tweet ya ek Instagram story pe depend karta,” she stated, adding that all three of them—Mahesh, Namrata, and herself—are simply prioritising what is important in their lives. She emphasised that differing opinions are inevitable and that it is impossible to please everyone.
The social media speculation arose when both Mahesh and Namrata were not seen openly supporting Shilpa during her recent appearance on Bigg Boss 18. Further elaborating on the matter, Shilpa made it clear that she does not feel the need to justify anything to outsiders. She believes there is no obligation to reach out to everyone for explanations; one should follow their heart.
“Puri duniya ko lagta hai Namrata aur mai Bigg Boss ke upar se lade. Hum Bigg Boss ke upar se nahi lade, honestly woh 3 mahine me when I met her we didn’t even talk about it. Because she was the one in the house sorting everything out for me,” she clarified.
