‘Saiyaara’ which released in cinemas on July 18 is now on the verge of completing its second week and by then, one can expect the movie to touch Rs 300 crore till the coming Saturday. The film has begun to see a drop from this second Monday onwards and it’s also evident that it may have begun to face competition from ‘Mahavtar Narsimha’ since there is tremendous word of mouth around it. The Aneet Padda, Ahaan Panday starrer, directed by Mohit Suri has now crossed Rs 270 crore at the box office. But it’s less likely that it will cross Rs 300 just till Friday. It may have to wait a bit more for that. Meanwhile, the film has already done phenomenal business even if now, it begins to slow down. It has crossed the box office collection of many big star movies like Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ and Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’. This kind of numbers don’t happen with newcomers but ‘Saiyaara’ created a phenomenon and how. Saiyaara Movie Review‘Saiyaara’ saw its first single digit number on day 11 which was second Monday. The film made Rs 9.25 crore on Monday after minting a good Rs 30 crore on second Sunday. On Tuesday, there was a bit of growth from the Monday numbers, perhaps because the ticket rates are discounted in many theatres, which may have lead to more footfalls. But ‘Saiyaara’ has also been facing competition from ‘Mahavtar Narsimha’ in the last few days. On Wednesday, day 13, the film has seen a drop as compared to the Tuesday numbers. Infact, this is the lowest per day collection ever since it released. It collected Rs 7 crore on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the collection of ‘Mahavtar Narsimha’ on Wednesday which was its day 6 was Rs 7.7 crore. Thus, clearly, this film has begun to give a competition to ‘Saiyaara’ as it’s growing through positive word of mouth. And now on Thursday, day 14, the number till afternoon is Rs 1.08 crore. The total collection of the film directed by Mohit Suri, now stands at Rs 274.58Cr crore as per Sacnilk. On August 1, one will see ‘Son Of Sardar 2’ and ‘Dhadak 2’ clashing with each other. Thus, both these films may give competition to ‘Saiyaara’ if they have good worth of mouth. Meanwhile, at the worldwide box office, the film has crossed Rs 350 crore.
