Ranbir Kapoor and his mother Neetu Kapoor bid farewell to Lord Ganesh during Ganpati Visarjan on Sunday. The mother-son duo joined devotees in offering prayers and performing the aarti before immersing the idol.The Animal actor was seen in a blue kurta paired with white pyjamas, while Neetu Kapoor opted for a simple white salwar suit for the festivities.
“Ganpati Bappa Morya!”
In a video circulating online, Ranbir Kapoor was seen carrying the Ganesh idol in his hands while chanting “Ganpati Bappa Morya!” The actor and his mother also performed the aarti along with the devotees, repeating the prayers with folded hands. Before the idol was taken for immersion, Ranbir broke a coconut and bowed his head to seek Bappa’s final blessings.
Kapoor family ’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations
Meanwhile, the extended Kapoor family celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi a little late this year. Kareena Kapoor Khan shared glimpses from the intimate celebration, which seemed to have taken place at her father Randhir Kapoor’s residence.The family gathering was attended by Karisma Kapoor, Reema Jain, cousins Aadar Jain and Armaan Jain, along with Armaan’s wife Anissa Malhotra Jain and Aadar’s wife Alekha Advani.
Taimur’s special moment with Ganpati
On Ganesh Chaturthi, Kareena had also shared a heartwarming picture of her elder son Taimur Ali Khan praying in front of the altar. A small idol of Lord Ganesh was placed on a decorated plate, with “Jeh” written near it. Flowers, incense sticks and a lit candle completed the festive set-up, capturing a touching family moment.
