Punjab is currently facing a severe flood emergency, affecting nine districts, including Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Fazilka, Kapurthala, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Moga, Hoshiarpur, and Barnala, due to continuous heavy rainfall. According to UNI reports, over 1,312 villages have been affected, with vast areas of farmland submerged.
