Pratibha Ranta and Siddhant Chaturvedi have finally addressed the buzz around them allegedly starring in the Hindi remake of Dear Comrade. The original film starred Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna. While fans have been excited about the possibility, no official confirmation has been made so far.

Taking to Instagram, Pratibha wrote, “With due respect, I kindly request all media pages to please refrain from posting or circulating any unverified information and wait for an official announcement. This has been happening with me for quite some time now, with several projects that I am not associated with, which often leads to unnecessary confusion. I would truly appreciate your understanding, cooperation, and continued support in this matter.”
Siddhant Chaturvedi’s clarification
Siddhant also responded by sharing a screenshot of the news claiming his involvement in the remake. He wrote, “Just to clarify, guys, this isn’t true. No remakes for me anymore. Even though I’m a fan of the original film and the actors—much love and respect. Thank you. Anyhow, I’d love to collaborate with the supremely talented @pratibha_ranta on something original. Looking forward.”

Earlier, Mid-Day had reported that Dharma Productions had been keen on revisiting Dear Comrade for a while, but the focus was always on cracking the right casting and tone. According to the report, Siddhant was seen as bringing the intensity required for the male lead, which resonated with audiences after Dhadak 2 (2025).Pratibha, meanwhile, was said to fit the emotional arc of the female protagonist well and was already in talks with the studio for another project. The Hindi adaptation was expected to retain the emotional core of the original while being tailored for a pan-India audience. The report also stated that the subject is being treated with sensitivity and is not intended as a routine remake, but as a reimagining for a new audience without diluting what made the original special.
