Mira Kapoor's luxury wellness centre offers Rs 1.75 lakh ‘sleep reset’ package, stirs online debate: 'Jo bachi kuchi neend aati thi woh bhi udd jayegi'

Mira Kapoor, wife of Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, has made a bold foray into the world of wellness with the launch of her premium centre, Dhun, in Bandra, Mumbai. After the success of her skincare label Akind, Mira’s latest venture reflects her ongoing commitment to holistic health and conscious living. But while the serene 6,000 sq. ft. space and earthy aesthetics are being praised, it’s the pricing of some services that has the internet talking. In a recent video shared by Shahid, fans got a glimpse of the wellness centre’s calming interiors, soundproof walls, and minimalistic design, all echoing Mira’s own understated style. She was seen in a beige co-ord set and jacket, blending seamlessly with the centre’s natural tones. It offers a range of high-end treatments, from a Rs 7,500 sound healing session and Rs 10,000 aura cleansing to a Rs 5,500 red light therapy bed said to improve collagen production. There’s also a Rs 10,000 aura and chakra scanner and a Rs 7,000 cryotherapy session. However, the real showstopper is the Rs 1.75 lakh sleep reset and gut-cleanse program, a week-long intensive Mira claims is tailored for Mumbai’s chaotic pace. The internet, however, isn’t convinced. Reactions poured in on Reddit, with many mocking the luxury pricing. “No way. My 1.75 lakh is going straight to mutual funds,” wrote one user. Another said, “Sleep me reset toh hoga hi naa, itne paise kharch karne ke baad jo bachi kuchi neend aati thi woh bhi udd jayegi.” A third chimed in, “Rich people’s idea of wellness is a comedy show in itself.”

Critics also questioned the purpose behind the project, suggesting Mira, with her resources and privilege, could have done something more impactful. “She should really do something she’s passionate about. This is just a waste of time, energy and resources,” one comment read.Despite the online backlash, Mira seems unfazed. The 31-year-old shared that Dhun is a deeply personal project born out of her own journey with wellness. Shahid, ever the supportive partner, was by her side during the launch. The couple even performed a traditional puja at the centre on Akshay Tritiya, accompanied by Shahid’s parents, Pankaj Kapur and Supriya Pathak. The family was all smiles as they broke coconuts and posed with tilaks on their foreheads, marking the beginning of this new chapter.
