Rani Mukerji, who returns as a fearless and determined cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in ‘Mardaani 3’, delivers a solid performance. This is the third time the actor has worn the garb of a police officer. Rani Mukerji expressed that it is a privilege to play a cop again. She also praised the service of Indian female police officers. In a recent interview with IANS, Rani Mukerji said, “I think it’s a huge privilege and a huge honour for me to be playing one of them, a woman in uniform.”The ‘Mardaani 3’ actor called the female police officers and their service ‘extraordinary’. “Because their life struggles, their stories, their challenges that they face in their day-to-day life, and the kind of crimes that they solve — I think they’re extraordinary,” she said. For the talented actor, donning the police uniform for the third time is truly special. For her, it is a meaningful opportunity to honor the real-life heroes who serve in law enforcement. “Through Shivani Shivaji Roy’s character, I’m able to portray that and show it to the world what Indian female officers are doing day in and day out,” she said. ‘Mardaani 3’ is helmed by Abhiraj Minawala, and also features actors Janki Bodiwala and Mallika Prasad in pivotal roles.
