Danish star Mads Mikkelsen, who is best known for his role in ‘Hannibal,’ recently took a trip down memory lane and recalled what it was like working on the ‘Star Wars’ film. During his recent interview, the actor revealed that he faced a lot of surprises while working on the film, specifically because of its ever-changing script.

Mikkelson was cast in the ‘Star Wars’ prequel, which was released in 2016. While talking to Variety in a recent interview, the actor opened up about his experience working on the legendary project. He recalled that he was often left surprised while working on the film, as the story was never set in stone. He added, “For a Star Wars film, it was surprisingly unfinished in the script. It kept changing. One would think that that was already done. I don’t think they ever locked a draft.”The actor further added during the interview that while it was surprising, the changes did not bother him much, as his character was not affected as much. “I think they kept working on it and improvised and went back and reshot stuff and then came up with a better idea,” he added, explaining why the script kept changing. He also concluded the interview by sharing how he felt the film finally came to be. He shared that, “The film ended up being a quite cute and sweet film.”
‘Star Wars’ and Mads Mikkelsen’s role
The actor was cast as Galen Erso in the 2016 prequel titled ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.’ He was known as the creator of the Death Star’s superlaser. He also intentionally installed a ‘kill switch’ in the laser to ensure that the Rebellion would be able to destroy it.The film was directed by none other than Gareth Edwards, the mastermind behind the film ‘Godzilla.’
