Bollywood actor Celina Jaitly, known for films such as ‘No Entry’ and ‘Golmaal Returns’, is currently facing one of the most difficult phases of her life. Reports state that she has filed a domestic violence case in a local court, alleging emotional, physical, sexual and verbal abuse by her Austrian husband, Peter Haag.Soon after reports surfaced, Celina shared a long, emotional note on social media confirming her legal fight. Using hashtags like #divorce and #courage, she declared that she is ready to fight for her dignity and rights.

Celina Jaitly reflects on painful emotional isolation

Celina opened her note with raw honesty about standing alone during the hardest storm of her life. She wrote, “In the middle of the strongest, most turbulent storm of my life, I never imagined I would find myself fighting alone, without any parents, without any support system. I never thought there would come a day without all the pillars on which the roof of my world once rested my parents, my brother, my children, and the one who promised to stand by me, love me, care for me, and bear every trouble with me.

Celina says people she trusted walked away

Despite the heartbreak, Celina wrote about rediscovering her inner courage during the darkest moments. She shared,“Life stripped everything away. People I trusted walked away. Promises I believed in broke in silence. But the storm did not drown me. It delivered me. It tossed me out of violent waters onto warm sands. It forced me to meet the woman inside me who refuses to die.”

Celina then spoke about the values with which she was raised. She continued, “Because I am a soldier’s daughter raised on courage, discipline, grit, resilience, fire, and faith. I have been taught to get up when the world wants me to fall. To fight when my heart is breaking. To show no mercy when I have been wronged. To survive even when it feels impossible. My priority remains fighting for my soldier brother, fighting for my children’s love, and fighting for my dignity. A DV complaint has been filed against all the atrocities and abandonment perpetrated upon me.”

Celina also thanked the legal firm supporting her during this battle. She wrote,“In my darkest hour, the legal force to reckon with, Karanjawala & Co., became the shield I needed to fight for my dignity and rights. Celina Jaitly has accused her husband, Peter Haag, of “severe emotional, physical, sexual and verbal abuse,” claiming it forced her to flee Austria and return to India. As reported by PTI, her plea, filed through Karanjwala & Co, cites domestic violence, cruelty and manipulation under the Domestic Violence Act. She alleges Haag restricted her independence, called him “a narcissistic, self-absorbed individual” with a short temper and alcohol issues, and detailed incidents of abuse. She seeks Rs 50 crore compensation, Rs 10 lakh monthly maintenance, and access to their three children.
