Janhvi Kapoor is currently promoting her upcoming film ‘Param Sundari,’ and for the same, the actress attended a Dahi Handi event in Ghatkopar, Mumbai. The actress was cheered by the massive crowd gathered for the Janmashtami celebrations. During the event, the actress also broke the Dahi Handi matki. However, that was the moment that made netizens troll her on social media.

Janhvi Kapoor attended MLA Ram Kadam’s Dahi Handi event in Ghatkopar, Mumbai. When the actress was asked to break the matki using the coconut, she did it while shouting, “Bharat Mata Ki Jay.” Her chant left everyone wondering if she was attending Dahi Handi festivities or an Independence Day celebration. Also, from the video, it seems that Janhvi had no idea what to say that time, and hence she went with “Bharat mata ki jai,” which would not land her in any controversy.However, it seems, because of her choice of words, she has sparked a meme fest on social media.

On the other hand, the actress was seen mobbed while exiting the venue. In a video, she looked uncomfortable as she walked towards her car with a heavy crowd around. However, Janhvi didn’t lose her calm in that situation.
