Chris Hemsworth, the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ actor, revealed that he regrets taking a selfie with pop icon Billie Eilish at the Oscars 2024 – as they would never be friends- wishing he could snap his finger and make them disappear.

Chris Hemsworth’s revelation in an interview

In an interview with ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,’ Chris was quizzed if he ever asked someone for autographs. After saying a football player, Chris revealed he took a photograph with Billie.
The Australian actor shared, “I got a photograph with Billie Eilish at the Oscars, and I remember thinking, ‘Ah, don’t do it. Don’t do it’ and I was like ‘Nah, my kids are gonna love this.’” However, after taking a snap, he regretted it as he went from a work colleague to now like a fan. “We’ll never be friends, never be best friends,” he disappointedly mentioned.

Stephen Colbert jokes about ‘Colleagues’

When Stephen asked if he ever worked with the ‘Bad Guy’ singer, he humourously responded, “Nah, same industry, kind of colleague.” Consequently, the host joked about being ‘colleagues’ with Anthony Hopkins.

Is this not the first time?

The ‘disappointing’ snap wasn’t the first time that Hemsworth took photos with his colleagues. In fact, he broke the ‘no selfie rule’ during the MET Gala. “Selfies everywhere! A lot of selfies in my phone. Like, ‘When did I take that? Let’s delete that one.” Chris disclosed in an event last year to E! News.
Chris stated that his family stays in Australia, and hence, he further revealed, “So any sort of big awards show, we haven’t become jaded because it’s still new and exciting. And this in particular, eclectic group of people, different than the normal crowd of, you know, film award shows we’ve been doing…sports people, musicians, artists, so we had a really fun night.”
