Did Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s ‘Jolly LLB 3’ get postponed for Karan Johar’s movie? Here’s what we know | Hindi Movie News

Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s courtroom comedy-drama ‘Jolly LLB 3‘ has undergone a shift in its release schedule. New reports state that the movie, which was initially slated for an April 10 theatrical debut, will now hit cinemas in August 2025. This adjustment reportedly comes at the request of filmmaker Karan Johar.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Akshay Kumar willingly postponed ‘Jolly LLB 3’ to accommodate the release of ‘Kesari Chapter 2’, a project backed by Dharma Productions, in which he also plays a pivotal role. A source disclosed, “Karan Johar has scheduled the release of Kesari Chapter 2 for April 18, 2025. He approached Akshay with a request to delay Jolly LLB 3, and the actor graciously agreed.”
Meanwhile, ‘Kesari Chapter 2’, starring Akshay Kumar alongside Ananya Panday and R. Madhavan, is now set to occupy the release date initially reserved for ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’, a romantic comedy starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor. Consequently, the latter has been pushed to the latter half of 2025. ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ is expected to delve into the life and legacy of C. Sankaran Nair.
On the other hand, anticipation for ‘Jolly LLB 3’ continues to grow. According to an earlier Pinkvilla report, the film will explore an intense courtroom battle between two Jollys, played by Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, with Saurabh Shukla returning as the sharp-witted judge.
Directed by Subhash Kapoor, ‘Jolly LLB 3’ also features Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, and Saurabh Shukla in key roles.
