“What can I even say about that scene… The moment of that scene is just crazy. When the scene first came to me, I felt like, ‘I’m not going to do this.’ I actually refused,” said Naseem during an interview with Filmygyan.The actor declined the offer, saying, “‘This won’t be possible for me,’ because after reading the scene so many times, I got really nervous. The truth is, I’m a huge fan of Ranveer sir. His energy, especially since ‘Padmaavat,’ has always been incredible. Somewhere in my subconscious, I kept thinking, “He’s such a big star, how am I supposed to do this scene in front of him?’”The message was then conveyed to the ‘Dhurandhar’ team. However, the men behind the making of the film spoke to Naseem and made him comfortable. The actor now thanks the entire team for their efforts. He added, “I had been searching for a moment like this for a long time. For the last 13 years, I was waiting for this moment in my life, when it would finally come.”

During the conversation, when he was asked how Ranveer reacted to the scene, whether he was all chill or did he make light of the situation, Naseem shared that Singh didn’t joke around but made him feel ‘comfortable.’He said, “Before that scene, we had another scene together—the dhaba scene, when we go to Alam’s shop, where Babu is our boss. Before that scene itself, he made me feel so comfortable that I kept thinking, ‘Am I really working with Ranveer?’”The actor continued, “He never makes you feel that he’s a big star. The energy he brings. He is very down-to-earth. The way he talks, he always hugs you first. That hug alone makes you feel comfortable.”Naseem shared how Ranveer also guided him and said, “He talks about the character, explains things, and if he feels I’m going off-track or stepping out of the character, he gently brings me back, telling me what to do, what not to do, what works better. So thank you, Ranveer bhai. You’re great.”

Naseem unveiled that the scene was done in two takes because, “In the first take, the character, who is supposed to be lusty and brutal, became a bit too brutal.
