While fans had wondered about ‘Wicked: For Good’ duo Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande’s miss at the Oscars this year, their Grammy is making up for everything. Cheers rolled out in large numbers as the beloved duo landed a major win at the 2026 Grammys. They ended up scoring the Best Pop Vocal Duo Grammy for one of their songs from the ‘Wicked’ film franchise.

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Ervio who played the great roles in the ‘Wicked’ franchise, just won their first-ever Grammy for the song, ‘Defying Gravity.’ Fans had been wondering why the duo was snubbed at the Oscars; however, the Grammy Award has sent everyone into a frenzy.They won the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance award, and were nominated along with the likes of Rose and Bruno Mars, SZA and Kendrick Lamar, Katseye, EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI.Ariana Grande previously landed a Grammy Award in 2019 for her album ‘Sweetener.’ Not only that, but she has even scored an award in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category in 2021. The singer was nominated along with Lady Gaga for the song ‘Rain on Me.’ Meanwhile, Erivo had scored her first-ever Grammy award for Best Musical Theater Album in 2017. ‘Wicked’ had been nominated for 10 Oscars, though the second installment, ‘Wicked: For Good’ had not landed any nominations at the Academy Awards recently, which had left fans wondering.
