The Tongva tribe confirmed that claims of the ‘Wildflower’ singer’s LA home being situated on top of their ancestral land were true. They further added in the statement that the singer has not contacted them about anything.In a statement given to The Daily Mail, the tribe shared, “As the First People of the greater Los Angeles basin, we do understand that her home is situated in our ancestral land. Eilish has not contacted our tribe directly regarding her property. We do value the instances when Public Figures provide visibility to the true history of this country.”Further, they emphasized that their aim is not to confront, but to educate and recognize. They added in their statement that they want to enable space for future discussions. They also want people to know and remember that the Los Angeles basin is still Gabrieleno Tongva territory.
