AI has become such an integral part of today’s reality that you can love it, hate it, but can’t ignore it. Sharing a picture from their meeting, AR Rahman revealed that he and Altman discussed and explored ways to empower Indian creators. They also took into consideration the generational challenges and talked about how to handle the same by using artificial intelligence. Here’s what his exact post read – “It was a pleasure to meet @sama at his office …we discussed ‘Secret Mountain’, our virtual global band, and to empower and uplift Indian minds to use AI tools to address generational challenges and lead the way forward.”

What is AR Rahman’s Secret Mountain project?

On February 14, 2024, AR Rahman announced this project with a video titled ‘Introducing the Secret Mountain.’ Offering a glimpse of what Rahman had in his mind, the video began with the audio and text – “Hey I’m Luna, let me tell you a story. Like most of us, I have been wandering the jungle instead of gratification, dooms of scrolling.” The narrative follows Luna, a young woman who is taken to the magical land of Secret Mountain. There, she encounters a variety of musical characters hailing from diverse cultural backgrounds, each showcasing their unique musical styles.

AI is only for enhancement and not for the replacement of the human element

Though Rahman strongly believes that AI is the next big thing, he doesn’t think any less of human element, efforts, and emotions. On his website, he mentioned, “AI can be a starting point, but the human element, the emotional depth and creativity, remains irreplaceable.”
