Veteran actor Annu Kapoor recently shared his experience of an encounter with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, describing it as “disappointing and uncomfortable.” He recalled being invited years ago to Goa to host an on-stage interview with Siddiqui, which was organized by a club. Jab maine unse unke rishton ke baare mein poocha, to unhone kaha, ‘Bahut si aayin aur chali gayin.’ Jis tareeke se unhone ye kaha, usse mujhe laga ki wo ek frivolous kisam ka aadmi hain. ‘Bahut si aayin aur chali gayin’ se aapka kya matlab hai? Ye bahut he saste kisam ka comment hota hai.” (He wasn’t giving many answers, so I thought to lighten the mood by asking about his love life. When I asked him about his relationships, he said, ‘Many came and went.’ The way he said this made me feel that he is a frivolous kind of person. What do you mean by ‘Many came and went’? That’s a very cheap kind of comment.One-sided conversationThe host pointed out that their interaction seemed uneven, and Kapoor agreed, describing the conversation as “largely one-sided.” He said, “He didn’t have any answers to my questions, so I had to keep speaking. Later, the organizers complained, saying, ‘Sir, you were the only one talking.’ I told them, ‘What kind of person have you brought for an interview if he has nothing to say? How would he disrespect me? I would have thrown him out if he did. He disrespected himself.’”Current projectsOn the work front, Annu Kapoor was last seen in the film ‘Jolly LLB 3,’ which was released on 19 September. Meanwhile, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to play the villain in the movie ‘Thamma,’ which stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna and is scheduled to hit theaters on 21 October.
