An old interview has surfaced where Amitabh Bachchan joyfully highlights Aishwarya Rai’s remarkable strength in opting for a natural childbirth, praising her during the transformative moment of welcoming Aaradhya. He passionately countered misleading media rumors about her in the past, reinforcing the love and respect they hold as a family unit.

Amitabh Bachchan‘s old interview about Aishwarya Rai has resurfaced and garnered attention again. Apparently, when Aishwarya had birthed Aaradhya Bachchan, she chose to have a natural birth without any pain medication. Big B praised how strong she was during labor. Aishwarya and Abhishek tied the knot in 2007 and had their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, in 2011.

Recalling the moment, Amitabh spoke about how Aishwarya insisted on a normal delivery and refused any form of pain relief. As stated by News 18, Big B said, “She had to struggle but I commend her that she was in acute labour for a long time, almost 2-3 hours. But she persisted and said she wanted a normal delivery. She did not use any epidural or painkiller.”

Amitabh Bachchan has long been protective of the women in his family. In 2010, when a Mumbai tabloid falsely claimed that Aishwarya was unable to conceive, he penned a strong blog post condemning the report. “I write to you today in deep anguish, pain and disgust. This article is completely false, completely fabricated, unsubstantiated, insensitive and of the lowest quality of journalism there ever was,” he wrote, as quoted by PTI.In his post, Amitabh Bachchan drew boundaries for his family’s dignity, stating, “I am head of my family. Aishwarya is not my daughter-in-law, she is my daughter, a woman, a lady in my house and home. If anyone will talk derogatorily about her, I will fight for her until my last breath.”

Aaradhya turns 14: A moment of family warmth

Last week, Aaradhya Bachchan turned 14 years old. To commemorate, the Bachchans celebrated in low-key fashion. Amitabh Bachchan wrote a short post to honor the young lady on his (personal) blog and to wish her all the best. He wrote, “Blessings on the eve of the little one , Aaradhya .. the child in us all grows with time and we wish them the mostest .. we pray the same ..And today be the dawn of the loved one’s birth .. all blessings 🙏”
