Ali Fazal recently took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as he opened up about his early break in 3 Idiots and his admiration for Salman Khan. In a candid chat, the actor revealed how his casting in the Rajkumar Hirani-directed blockbuster came about and why, among Bollywood’s leading Khans, it’s Salman he dreams of working with the most.In conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Ali shared that his involvement in 3 Idiots wasn’t driven by Aamir Khan’s presence in the film. Instead, it came about through a personal connection—his friend Mrunmayee Lagoo, who was working with director Rajkumar Hirani at the time, recommended him after recalling his performance in a stage play.Reflecting on his role as Joy Lobo in 3 Idiots, Fazal shared that the real excitement for him was working under producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, whose film Parinda had left a strong impression on him. He saw the project as a major milestone, and only later realized he was part of a Rajkumar Hirani film—something he found both surprising and exciting.When asked which of Bollywood’s Khans he’d like to work with, the atcor expressed a strong desire to collaborate with Salman Khan.
