The film has grossed ₹1.64 crore without block seats and ₹4.90 crore with them. As per the latest data by Sacnilk , Housefull 5 has registered a Day 1 advance booking gross of Rs 1.64 crore (without block seats) across India, with a total of 48,950 tickets sold for 8,689 shows.Additionally, with block seats factored in, the overall advance booking gross rises to a notable Rs 4.90 crore till 2 PM today. Housefull 5 marks the return of one of Bollywood’s most successful and consistently profitable comedy franchises. Since its debut in 2010, the Housefull series has built a loyal fan base, thanks to its signature brand of slapstick humor, elaborate set pieces, and ensemble star casts. This time too, the makers promise a grand entertainer packed with chaos, confusion, and comedy of errors.The star cast of the film features names like Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Kahri, Chitrangada Singh, Shreyas Talpade, Fardeen Khan, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Johny Lever and Chunky Pandey. The film has been directed by Tarun Mansukhani, best known for his directorial debut Dostana (2008), The film has been set up at a very big budget and the film needs to deliver a huge box office opening for it to recover its cost. The film is releasing on 6th June and on 5th June Kamal Haasan is coming up with one of the most talked about Tamil industry Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam. This is Ratnam and Haasan’s first project since Nayakan. The film features Silmabarasab TR, Trisha Krishnan,Ali Fazal, Mahesh Manjrekarand many more names. It would be interesting to see how both the films would be performing in the same time zone.
