Ajith Kumar’s brother Anil Kumar reacts to fan asking why he didn’t share pictures of him from the Padma Bhushan ceremony: ‘I had enough reason…’ | Tamil Movie News

Ajith Kumar was conferred with the prestigious Padma Bhushan for his significant contributions to Indian cinema yesterday (April 28). While tributes poured in from across the industry, one heartfelt message that stood out came from the actor’s brother, Anil Kumar.
Anil shared his appreciation for his brother, actor Ajith, without posting any accompanying photographs – sparking curiosity among fans. One fan questioned the move on X (formerly Twitter): “Hi sir, we are quite surprised to see you. Were any pictures taken with AK?” Anil quickly responded, “Yes, of course. I can understand and appreciate your asking. As many have come to understand, though, I don’t post family pics online.”

Anil’s reaction
Anil shared pictures of the Rashtrapati Bhavan and the certificate received by Ajith, while deliberately refraining from sharing Ajith’s picture from the event. “What a day! It was a day of celebration and yet one filled with moments of reflection. It was a day to look forward to, and it goes down as one to remember. I had enough reason to feel proud (QT). With the rich official tribute now (pic), I see I wasn’t off the mark.”
Anil’s second post
After the online discussion, Anil also shared some videos showing Ajith entering the stage to receive the award from the President of India. He wrote, “I never got around to a ’16 hours in Trichy’ photo essay – along the lines of @nytimes’ 36 Hours series – last autumn. Since done is better than perfect, as with my previous post late last night, here are some pics for my Delhi 2025 time capsule. A photo essay may yet follow.”
Ajith was accompanied by his wife, Shalini, and their children at the award ceremony in New Delhi. Shalini looked happy and simple in a traditional silk saree. She also shared a bunch of pictures on her Instagram account with Ajith after he received the prestigious Padma Bhushan.
Ajith Kumar’s work front
