Abhishek Bachchan recalls THIS veteran actress as his first love; she said, ‘grow up first’

Even Bollywood stars have their childhood crush stories, and Abhishek Bachchan’s is one of the sweetest. The actor once revealed that his first love was the stunning actress Zeenat Aman, one of Bollywood’s earliest glamour icons. His hilarious childhood memory involving the diva has since become one of the sweetest anecdotes from his growing-up years in the Bachchan household.

He shared that when his father, Amitabh Bachchan, was shooting in Kathmandu for ‘Mahaan’, he had a cute encounter with Zeenat Aman. As a little boy, he was completely mesmerized by her charm. One night, when Zeenat was heading to bed, young Abhishek innocently asked if he could sleep with her.“I was a child, and the concept of someone sleeping alone was unimaginable for me back then,” he laughed. Zeenat’s reaction was simple but unforgettable, she said, “Grow up first.” The story has since become one of the most light-hearted and charming moments from Abhishek’s early years.

Zeenat Aman: The eternal glamour girl

Zeenat Aman was a trailblazer in the 1970s and 80s, known for redefining the image of the Bollywood heroine. From ‘Don’ and ‘Dostana’ to ‘The Great Gambler’ and ‘Laawaris’, her on-screen chemistry with Amitabh Bachchan remains iconic. Zeenat was celebrated for portraying bold, Westernised characters that broke stereotypes and introduced a new wave of modern femininity in Indian cinema. Aman was married to actor Mazhar Khan in 1985, and they stayed together until his passing in 1998. The couple had two sons- Azaan Khan and Zahaan Khan.
