Aamir Khan is currently in the news for his special appearance in Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’. Amidst all the buzz around his cameo in the film, the actor recently opened up on a whole different topic—religion and spirituality. Talking about the same, the superstar shared his thoughts on both the topics.
Aamir Khan shares if he is ‘religious’
On NDTV Jai Jawan, Aamir was asked if he was religious or spiritual. Answering the question, Bollywood’s perfectionist stated that it is a personal topic. The actor added he is indeed religious. He said, “I am. Religion is such a personal topic with each one of us.”He added that it is very close to his heart and he respects “all religion.” He went on to say, “We may have different paths, but we are finally headed to the same source.”

Talking about the same, Aamir said that he doesn’t know if he is or not. The superstar further added that he would like to “believe” he is. Khan said, “I think you have to connect to a larger consciousness. Connecting to the larger consciousness is connecting to God.”The actor also shared that he started meditating a few months ago. The actor expressed that one of the forms of meditation is also when one is “fully focused” on something.

On the work front, he is currently enjoying the reactions to his special appearance in ‘Coolie’. With that, he shared the screen space with the Tamil superstar after 30 years. Their last collaboration was ‘Aatank Hi Aatank’. On the other hand, he was last seen in ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ co-starring Genelia Deshmukh. The film was released in theaters on June 15, 2025. After its theatrical run, the actor opted for the pay-per-view model and made the film available for streaming on YouTube for Rs 100.
