‘My father considered me as a lucky charm’: Rajvir Jawanda’s daughter Amanat Kaur gets emotional at his prayer meet |
 
                 
Punjab is still reeling from the loss of singer-actor Rajvir Jawandha. The ‘Surname’ fame singer passed away at the age of 35, following his road accident. In the wake of his demise, a prayer meet was organised today, attended by family, friends, and several Punjabi industry celebrities like Kulwinder Billa, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Ammy Virk, Raghveer Boli, and others. During the prayer meet everyone shared sweet memories of Rajvir, and his daughter, Amanat Kaur, also gave a eulogy in honour of her late father. Her voice shook as she managed to pay her tribute, and her words left everyone in tears.

As she addresses everyone at the prayer meet, Rajvir’s daughter says, “Waheguru ji da khalsa, waheguru ji di fateh, sat sri aakal sareya nu.” Then she continues to speak in Punjabi, recalling the fond memories of her father.Here’s an English translation of her words: “As you know, I am Amant Kaur, Rajvir Jawandha’s daughter. My dad was the loveliest. My father used to consider me as a lucky charm.” She continued, “He used to say he loved me a lot, and I should never go away from him. My dad, who used to say that I should not leave his side, he only left me. However, in the future, I will fulfill my father’s dreams.”In the video shared by Punjabi singer Gagan Kokri from the prayer meet, one can see and feel how the young girl is finding it hard to put her feelings into words during the difficult time. As she spoke, Punjabi singer Kulwinder Billa, who was one of the closest friends of the late artists, couldn’t control his tears. When Gurpreet Ghuggi took the stand to share a few words with the attendees, he too praised Rajvir’s daughter for gathering up the courage and sharing the right words and emotions with everyone.
Rajvir Jawanda’s demise
After being on life support for 11 days at the Fortis Hospital, Mohali, Rajvir Jawanda succumbed to multiple organ failure on October 8th, 2025. He was admitted to the hospital on September 27, following his bike accident, and the entire industry was praying for his recovery. However, he couldn’t survive the severe injuries.
