Ayodhya Deepotsav 2025: City aims to break Guinness World Record with 26 lakh diyas lighting the Saryu River ghats
Ayodhya is set to illuminate the Saryu River ghats with a record-breaking 26 lakh diyas during Deepotsav 2025, from October 18-20. This grand celebration of light over darkness aims to surpass last year’s 24 lakh diyas, featuring drone shows, laser effects, and cultural performances, reviving the spirit of Treta Yuga.

Ayodhya, the sacred birthplace of Lord Ram, holds a special place in the hearts of millions, and is known worldwide for its Deepotsav festival, where people light lakhs of diyas celebrating the return of Lord Rama after victory over demon king Ravana, and 14 years of exile in the forest.
