Jimmy Kimmel returns on air: Host calls out Donald Trump for celebrating ‘Americans losing their livelihoods’
Jimmy Kimmel, upon his return to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ after a brief hiatus, directly addressed President Trump’s criticism of his show. Kimmel retorted by accusing Trump of celebrating Americans losing their jobs and actively seeking the termination of other late-night hosts like Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers. He further quipped about Trump’s obsession with ratings and hinted at potential distractions.

Jimmy Kimmel returned to the air on September 23 after his show ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ was removed from circulation following a comment on slain Charlie Kirk. During his return, Kimmel addressed the situation and took a shot at the US President Donald Trump, soon after the latter had shared his opinion on the show’s return, and had said “Why would they want someone back who does so poorly, who’s not funny, and who puts the Network in jeopardy by playing 99% positive Democrat GARBAGE,” in a social media post.

Jimmy Kimmel takes a jab at US President Donald Trump

During his episode of the late-night show on September 23, Jimmy Kimmel talked about Donald Trump and how he “celebrates Americans losing their livelihoods because he can’t take a joke.” He also mentioned how the President wants him, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, and many others to lose their jobs. He also talked about how Stephen Colbert’s show was canceled after a successful long run due to him.He said during one of the segments on his show that, “He was able to squeeze Colbert out of CBS, then he turned his sights on me, and now he’s openly rooting for NBC to fire Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers and the hundreds of Americans who work for their shows who don’t make millions of dollars, and I hope that if that happens, or if there’s even any hint of that happening, you will be 10 times as loud as you were this week.”He also played a clip of Donald Trump saying that he does not have the proper ratings, to which Kimmel wittingly replied by saying, Well, I do tonight. Trump might have to release the Epstein files to distract from this. This backfired bigly!”
