Soha Ali Khan recently opened up about the biological clock and the struggles she faced throughout the whole pregnancy process. The 46-year-old claimed that she didn’t ponder much about being pregnant, but as the clock ticked, she started being worried about the chances.

Khan recently started a podcast, ‘All About Her,’ where she engages in honest and soulful conversations about women’s health and issues. While opening up about what she and Kunal Khemu went through, the actress said, “Kunal and I never really prioritised having children. I was 35 when we got married, and I was aware of the biological clock, but we didn’t take it very seriously,” before adding, “But by the time I became 38, I knew that if we wanted to become parents, we had to be intentional.”
Moreover, Khan stated that they tried to conceive for about 6-8 months, but unfortunately, nothing happened. After tracking her ovulation and consulting the gynaecologist, she began to explore various options such as IUIs, IVFs, and even considered adopting. “And then one day, I missed my period, took a test, two pink lines, I was pregnant,” she added. However, even in the 6-10 months, Khan’s journey towards pregnancy was difficult, with confusion and pressure.

Furthermore, in the conversation, Soha Ali Khan revealed her experience of an attempt to freeze her eggs when she was 35, but her gynaecologist said that they were already old. “Everyone else said I was so young, but she added, ‘Your ovaries can’t see your face.’ That stayed with me for a very long time,” she said.Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu got married in 2015 and welcomed their daughter, Inaaya Naumi Khemu, in 2017.
