Tragic Death of 13-Year-Old Karnataka Boy Raises Suicide Suspicions | Mangaluru News
MANGALURU: A 13-year-old boy, Shravan, was found dead at his residence in Belthangady in a suspected suicide case, police said.
According to the complaint filed by his mother, Yashodha, 54, from Tanneerupantha village, Shravan, a Class 7 student, had dinner and went to sleep with her in the hall of their house around 10.00 pm on 18 February.
Yashodha woke up at around 11.30 pm after hearing a bucket fall inside the bedroom. She realised Shravan was missing and found the bedroom door locked from inside. Panicked, she rushed outside, looked through the window, and screamed for help.
He was rushed to Uppinangady Government Hospital in an autorickshaw, where doctors provided first aid before referring him to Puttur Government Hospital for further treatment.
Doctors examined him upon arrival at around 12.40 am and declared him dead.
A case has been registered at Punjalakatte Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
