Tamil Nadu horror: Odisha woman raped at knifepoint in front of husband in Tirupur | Coimbatore News

TIRUPUR: A 27-year-old woman from Odisha was allegedly gang-raped in Tirupur by three guest workers from Bihar in front of her husband.
The trio first tied the hands of her husband and raped the woman at knife point at a secluded spot, police said.
Police said one of the accused was a 17 year old boy.
According to police, the woman with her husband and their three-year-old child had visited Tirupur on Feb 17 in search of a job.
Police said that the the woman, her husband and child were wandering near Pushpa Junction in Tirupur town on Monday night when the three guest workers from Bihar approached her promising to get a job.
The trio took the family to the their rented room at Lakshmi Nagar and asked them to stay.
Later that night, the three assaulted the husband, tied him with a rope and raped the woman, police said.
When she resisted, the accused threatened to slash the throat of her child with a knife. Based on a complaint from the woman the next day, police arrested the accused identified as Mohamed Nadeem, Mohamed Danish and the teen on Tuesday night.
